Director of Tennis, Andy Stoner
Andy Stoner is a native of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and played #1 singles and doubles at Cumberland Valley High School. He is a two-time NCAA All-American at Millersville University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. In his four years at Millersville, he also won five Pennsylvania Athletic Conference titles in singles & doubles. Traveling extensively in the United States and abroad on the satellite pro tour, he earned his ATP world rankings in singles and doubles. As a member of the 1994 New Jersey Stars: World Team Tennis, he gained valuable experience training with former WTA #1 Martina Navratilova.
Andy was a member of the 1998, 1999 & 2003 USTA Italia Cup team and has 25 USTA National titles on all four surfaces. He is a certified teacher through the United States Professional Tennis Association and was inducted into the Millersville Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. He was selected to represent the US in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Men's Dubler Cup 4 years in a row and was captain of the Fred Perry Cup team in 2014.
His most recent titles are the 2012 Men's 35's Hard court doubles with partner Rick Leach, 2012 Men's 45's Grass court doubles with partner Gil Schuerholz, 2013 Men's 50's National Clay Court Championships in singles & doubles, 2014 Men's 50's National Grass Court Championships in singles and 2014 Men’s 50s National Clay Court in doubles. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, Andy won the Atlanta Senior Invitational in the men’s 50s division. He was also the 2015 USTA Men’s 50s National Grass Courts singles finalist. In 2009, he was ranked #1 nationally in the USTA Men's 45s and #3 ITF world ranking. He was also ranked #1 nationally in the USTA Men's 50s in 2015.
During the winter months, Andy is the Director of Tennis at Gainey Ranch Estate Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has over 25 years of teaching experience, has coached nationally ranked juniors and has worked with ATP & WTA touring professionals. He has been a hitting partner for Monica Seles (WTA #1), Chanda Ruben (WTA #8), Rick Leach (ATP #1 Doubles), David Wheaton (ATP #12), Anders Jarryd (ATP #5), and Aaron Krickstein (ATP #6).
